We recommend all chassis use the Tri-Angulated 4 Link System instead of the Parrallel 4 Link System. With correct installation this system aligns the rear-end housing, assuring you of an excellent ride. Many chassis builders do not like to install this system because you have to weld the housing brackets on at "ride height".
For optimum performance the upper and lower bars should be parallel to the ground and the bolts for the adjusters should be all parallel to each other. Having the bolt (adjusters) parallel assures you that it will not bind up during the up and down travel of the suspension. This alignment is very important and should not be overlooked during the construction of the rear suspension.
With the Parallel 4 Link System you can weld the housing brackets in without the frame and a good jig. However, this requires use of a pan hard bar. The problem with the Parallel 4 Link System is that your rear end will shift back and forth instead of remaining truly center. |
