1932 Chassis Construction
Tri-Angulated Rear 4 Link

We recommend all chassis use the Tri-Angulated 4 Link System instead of the Parrallel 4 Link System.  With correct installation this system aligns the rear-end housing, assuring you of an excellent ride.  Many chassis builders do not like to install this system because you have to weld the housing brackets on at "ride height".

For optimum performance the upper and lower bars should be parallel to the ground and the bolts for the adjusters should be all parallel to each other.  Having the bolt (adjusters) parallel assures you that it will not bind up during the up and down travel of the suspension.  This alignment is very important and should not be overlooked during the construction of the rear suspension.

With the Parallel 4 Link System you can weld the housing brackets in without the frame and a good jig. However, this requires use of a pan hard bar.  The problem with the Parallel 4 Link System is that your rear end will shift back and forth instead of remaining truly center.

We use all new parts in our chassis.  This picture shows a Ford 9" housing by Dutchman.  We have these housing made for us with the late model 2.50" offset ends and 31 spline new alloy, NHRA/IHRA approved axles.  Note the nice new round back housing that is "centered" in the frame.

Now don't tell us that you are going to spend all that money building a car, then cut a corner by buying a used rear end with "re-splined" stock axles?  Just ask any axle manufacturer what the chances are of your 30 year old re-splined axle breaking and we think you will change your mind.
